New Meditation Guide Proves Mind Control Isn't So Farfetched

By: Article Brain Editor

12 Jun 2007

A remarkable new book from Swedish author Ingrid Fredriksson, Free from Dangerous Stress explains the ins and outs of meditation and yoga, setting readers on a path to manipulating their own brains for a maximum health effect.

Fredriksson's inclusive book offers a universal range of options - from Swedish TM to Christian meditation to ancient Indian dhyana - for positively affecting everything from mental and physical illness to the aging process.

In Free from Dangerous Stress, the author provides insight from her personal healing experiences with meditation and yoga, as well as those of experts such as Deepak Chopra, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, and Stuart Wilde. She offers down-to-earth definitions for familiar but obscure terms such as chakra and qi, and describes newer, more unusual practices, such as "the programming of the mind" for subconscious effects during sleep.

Free from Dangerous Stress is ultimately a practical book for a modern day and age filled with stress and bereft of time. Practices some might consider to be exotic or difficult are incorporated into the practice of daily life and defined clearly, opening up the possibility of increased vitality and health to readers from all lifestyles and walks of life.
