Those that win these games and tournaments of such are highly skilled in this field. But when talking about gambling in general, people associate it with luck. Among the popular gambling superstitions you’ll hear is that you should keep a toenail from a horny toad close and that you should be nowhere near a dog during gambling at a table. So do you think this actually helps? Who knows? But you may be surprised that there are a lot of people, especially athletes, who actually follow certain superstitions. So why wouldn’t you do the same at gambling? After all, you won’t lose anything if you follow these superstitions. Take a look at Michael Jordan for example. He brought the Chicago Bulls to six NBA Championships by wearing his lucky college gym shorts under his basketball uniform. At the same time, Tiger Woods seems to believe that the color red is his lucky color. Who knows what will happen if they don’t follow these superstitions? But there’s nothing wrong if they follow it anyway. So don’t you want to follow some superstitions when gambling as well?
Gambling and superstitions have long been associated. As mentioned previously, they say that you should never keep dogs near the gambling table. Studies show that those who are having problems in gambling are more likely to develop or have their superstitions in gambling. That’s because they spend more time in gambling and are trying to find ways, which is most likely out of desperation, to get lucky and win in gambling.
