  • Zen Meditation  By : Jen Brister
Zen meditation has been used to help such problems as depression, ADD, panic attacks and anxiety. OCD and depression seem to both be helped greatly by using these techniques. Meditating to control the focus of your mind can help you to journey into positive emotional states, helping you to clear out negative energy that could be making you ill.

Zen meditation is a little different than other forms of meditating. In this form, you will not be focusing on a beach scene or other escapist realities. You will be learning to deal with the here and now and focusing on how to improve your present situation.

Studies have shown that patients who meditate regularly are able to keep their minds from wandering during simple tasks and have a higher rate of breathing focus. Meditating on a regular basis can help you limit negative and distracting thoughts, therefore reducing your stress and anxiety levels.

There are currently more than 50 studies underway to study the medical effects of healthy zen living. Some studies suggest that along with improving symptoms of depression and OCD, zen can help increase immune system function.

While meditation works well for some people, keep in mind though, that in severe cases of depression or other mental illness, medication plus meditating is the best possible treatment. It is important to see a doctor regularly to monitor the state of your illnesses and keep him or her informed of your zen practices. You doctor will be able to help you formulate a plan that is right for you.
  • Tony Robbins will give your life "The Edge"  By : Tony Sauer
Get the edge with Tony Robbins.
Tony Robbins is an original. He has been around in the personal development industry for more than 20 years. He has shared his message about positive attitude and reprogramming your mind with millions of people. He has been a life coach for personal development to highly prominent people around the world, including presidents, top athletes and world famous business people. Additionally, he has published books and audios for self study that are available to anybody who wants to grow personally, expand their mind and realize their dreams. However, do the concepts that he offered back in '86 still hold true?

Like millions of others around the world I bought his first book Unlimited Power in 1986 while I was in Los Angeles. I had been invited by a Kempo Club there, so I went and spent my days exercising and studying Martial Arts in general. I will never forget how I came across Tony Robbins? Unlimited Power the very first time. I was in the book store looking for books on Martial Arts. I was into titles like The Art of War by Sun Tzu, The Dancing Wu Li Masters - An Overview of the New Physics by Gary Zukav and heavily into Carlos Castaneda.

Back then, the bookstore shelves were loaded with Tony Robbins' works. At each table his volume was prominently shown along with his photo and posters. I thought to myself, wow, who is this guy? I picked this book up at the store, and kind of skimmed through it. For whatever reason, it didn't really make sense to me then. Many years later, I really read it and grasped its concepts and applied the ideas. At that point, I wondered why I had ever waited this long to try this! I know that the answer is that I was not ready for it, but it seems so silly that the book just sat on my book shelf for a few years until I discovered Unlimited Power myself...

So many ideas that I was used to through the practice of Martial Arts were there: focus, strategy, energy, healthy eating, precision, judgment, challenge and a strong overriding message that it's not about power over other people. It's about power over yourself!

The more I have read and listened to Tony Robbins, the more respect I have for him and everything he teaches. The primary premise behind Unlimited Power is to be able to achieve anything we desire out of life. These days lots of other people make identical claims. This includes me.Tony Robbins brought credence to this notion in 1986 and distributed its message across the globe in an unprecedented fashion. Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, for example, bares a striking resemblance to the teachings of Tony Robbins. Also, I see some similarities between Unlimited Power and the movie "The Secret", which has certainly spread the concept of the law of attraction around the world.

A very central theme in Tony Robbins? teachings is the importance of self-reliance and taking responsibility: "Whatever happens, take responsibility." Do not blame others. Accept responsibility for your life, because you're in control of it. Go out and make things happen for yourself! Such concepts are also naturally timeless and universal.

Achievers tend to believe that no matter what happens, whether it?s good or bad, they created it. If not because of their actions, it was due to the power of thought. Now, I don?t know if this is true. It isn't scientifically possible to demonstrate that our minds create reality. But it?s a useful lie. This belief gives you control. Everything that happens in our life is something to be learned from. You will continue to play the victim of circumstance until you embrace the notion that you control your destiny, including the successes and failures therein. You must accept that things will happen to you regardless of your actions. You?re an object, not a subject. Let me tell you, if I had that belief, I?d check out now and look for another culture, another world, another planet. What is the reason for existence if you are merely a product of chance exerted externally?

Back to the first question, does Tony Robbin's ideas from over 20 years ago still apply today? My answer would be absolutely affirmative. Those concepts are universal and applicable anytime by anybody, because happiness and success in life are not the result of what we have, but rather of how we live. What we do with the things we have makes the biggest difference in the quality of life. Tony Robbins learned that from Jim Rohn ages ago. They are correct and always have been. As Tony Robbins says: "Live with passion!"

  • Does Everybody Really Know How to French Kiss?  By : Jen Brister
Did you ever see that episode of Golden Girls where Rose meets this guy who she doesn't remember from many years ago and finally at the end of the episode, he kisses her and she finally remembers where she knew him from. Rose's memory returned after a kiss and Blanche was amazed that the sweet kiss had brought back her memory and Rose stated that , "a kiss such as that cannot be forgotten. He didn't know how to kiss then and he doesn't know how to kiss now.Truth be told, kissing does not come naturally to all. Some people, unfortunately, are just flat out awful at it. It's a shame because it doesn't have to be like that. The approach is important as well as the technique when kissing. How you go about giving the kiss is almost as important as the kiss itself.

First thing you have to do is relax. Relax, you'll naturally kiss better. Seperate feelings of excitement and anticipation from nervousness. If you do not feel calm and relaxed, then you will not be able to kiss well. Your lips will constrain, your face will constrain, and the outcome will most likely be less than you hoped for.

Next, it is important to move slow. As I said, the anticipation is a great part of the experience. The more time you take It would be better if you didn't turn it into a long, drawn out race to get warmed up. It is ideal for your partner to build anticipation for the event. This helps fix many common errors in the actual kiss. True, you don't have to be a master tactician if you build up enough anticipation.

Lastly, during the kiss, try not to force your face into your partner. You must be thoughtful and kind. Rough kisses from the big screen aren't relevant. Really, the only thing they are nice to have for is actually hurting your mate's neck. You want to be gentle about the whole thing. This will be the best outcome.

It's an actual fact, not everyone knows kissing techniques. Suprisingly, its not instinctive. Nerves play a big part in the issue the any other thing I can think of. So once you learn to relax, trust me, the rest will come quite naturally.

  • Making The Most Of Marriage Tips  By : Danielle Hill
When you have been married for long enough, some problems can creep in to cause conclict. Marriages are just like any relationship; they will grow and change only with care and attention. You might try to do this by taking advantage of various marriage tips that can restore your marriage. Incorporating these tips will demand dedication and a little creativity. If you are prepared to secure your marriage, then you should get started now.

You may not realize what a fresh start can do for a marriage. You probably remember how your relationship was in the beginning with all the fun and excitement that defined it. You may even remember, if you think hard, those little annoyances or habits about your spouse that you flatly ignored or at least marginalized because you felt so in love.

Now, you realize that those warm, intense feelings were meant to fade. You may find those habits more difficult to brush away than before. They may even lead to conflicts between the two of you. The idea of starting over is one of the first marriage tips that will be mentioned, and it is one that will take the commitment and patience of the partner to revive those feelings and recall what attracted them to the other at the beginning of the relationship.

The second tip is all about planning the time you spend with the other person. It is a tendency with many couples to spend time doing fun things together while they're dating or just after marriage but stopping those things once they've settled in to married life. Should this have to happen? Not at all. If you wish to have a relationship that lasts, you must continue spending time together. It doesn't really matter exactly what you're doing, but that you do something that you both enjoy.

Tip three has to do with providing affection and intimacy. This is not so much physical intimacy, as it is the act of touching with affection. Physical touch has the power to connect the two partners. By tousing your spouse's hair, rubbing their hands, softly kissing their neck, patting their leg, or giving soft back rubs can affect how your wife or husband will respond to you. It could be gentle kiss on the cheek made without saying a word.

While spending time together is great, marriage tip number four says that time away from each other can be equally important to your relationship. Each of you needs a break to do the things that you enjoy. You may choose to take a night to have fun with friends or go to some other event or gathering. Of the marriage tips cited, this one is regularly ignored or worse not balanced with time together.

Tip number five is necessary to the health of your relationship. Basically, you should avoid discussing issues in which you have strong and opposing opinions. There nothing wrong with speaking your mind on opinions, but when they lead to conflict, you should just keep the discussion from escalating into an argument. Marriage tips like this one can make or break your relationship so extra attention should be taken here.

Like tips two and four, number six is also related to spending time together. It is a suggestion to take time to arrange occasional getaways for the two of you. You would have an opportunity for some privacy. This might take the form of a trip, an activity, or going out to an event that you enjoy. The whole point is to have quality time to nurture the marriage.

These marriage tips have been only a few examples of the many that can be used to enhance your marriage and help it stay on course in the future.
  • Answers To Your Marriage Problems  By : Charlie Rose
Ideally, you can use this short article to create your own guide for handling with marriage problems. If you make use of the following tips, you might prevent divorce from ending your marriage and those dangerous issues that could threaten the relationship. Divorce in an awful event that hurts the adults and any children involved. It holds the potential to destroy families and households.

You want to find sound answers, you needn't worry so much about the chance of divorce. You don't have to be a victim. The ideas presented in this brielf article will give you exactly what you need to confront marriage problems. The important point is that once you begin using them, these methods are useful tools that you should continue using in the future. If you want to see results, you should implement them now. You can't take shortcuts here.

Obviously, it would be better to have both you and your spouse involved. Of course, most of the time, you may be doing it alone. You might be the only one who's ready to do what is needed to control marriage problems before they get worse. Marriages in trouble can be rescued simply because one of the spouses chooses to do something about it. Surprisingly, the other spouse eventually joins the effort.

Five steps will be reviewed in this article. When you choose to employ them, the positive results may be seen quickly.

You will want to begin by examining yourself. You should begin asking questions about what you are currently doing to improve your marriage. Along with any compliments, you should determine what things you are doing cause your spouse displeasure or grief.

Next, you should find things to do that express your love for your spouse. You will want to focus on things that can be tangible expressions of love rather than using words to convey love and affection. You will be doing things that make your spouse happy. If you're not sure what would be too much, just focus on accomplishing one kind act a day. You may shocked by what doing one kindness can do to improve your marriage.

The next step is really hard to do because you must be willing to admit when you have reacted with irritation, anger, or criticism towards your spouse (especially when its been in the presence of others. You must ask for forgiveness. Now, if you've behaved poorly for any length of time, more attention and time will be needed to accomplish results. The whole issue is to prove to the offended spouse that you are contrite and serious about changing. In the end, you are want to remove those marriage problems permanently.

It may be good to pay attention to what is good about your spouse, his or her positive qualities. This means you will be searching for those attributes that are worthy of compliment or praise in your spouse. Once you have made criticism a habit, however, you will find that it is much more difficult to find positive points to mention. A few kind words spoken repeatedly will do much to heal the wounds that daily criticism has caused.

Only after you have taken part in these other steps can you be ready to say I love you again. Deciding to avoid saying and choosing to illustrate your love by the things you do, you will restore the intent of the words. Without the groundwork, they will continue to be meaningless. No one wishes for marriage problems to arise and grow worse.
